our story
LA'AU was founded by Ulla Kulenkamp in Hamburg.
LA'AU is also the hawaiian word for wood.
We are taking our inspirations and materials from everywhere. It all started with a piece of wood found in the Elbe river in Hamburg that we upcycled into a beautiful candle holder.
It is the ingredients and the process that make the difference.
For our products we use materials that have a history and upcycle them to make beautiful sustainable products.
